ABOUT MERINO WOOL
Wool is a naturally renewable fiber from natural origin. It is fully biodegradable and compostable. Merino wool comes from a merino sheep. Merino wool is an extra fine quality than the regular wool. Its extraordinary softness is due to the length of the wool fibers. Thanks to these properties of merino wool, it is suitable for persons who have experienced the wool sensitivity; skin itchiness when using the regular sheep wool. One of the great qualities of the merino wool is that it doesn’t cause skin itchiness.

The merino wool is known to have many positive properties. It is naturally hypoallergenic, antibacterial, breathable, temperature-regulating, moisture-wicking, insulating and odor-resistant. These and many other advantages have made merino wool highly valued.

On the skin merino wool feels simply comfortable, warm, so soft and relaxing. Merino fibers natural porousness makes it temperature regulating. It allows the air circulate delivering freshness when hot weather, and it works as an insulate keeping you warm when the weather gets cold.

THE WOOL WE USE
We use merino wool that comes from a small family farm in Northern Europe. The wool is mulesing-free. Its colors are created using Environmentally Friendly dyes. The dyeing process doesn’t use any harmful chemicals. The merino wool has an APEO FREE certificate.

ABOUT THE CUSHION
Made by artisan. We hand-knit each cushion in Spain in Ibiza.

Merino wool cushion is an eco-friendly product. We lightly felt the wool before knitting. Light felting makes it more durable. The blanket size may vary slightly due to the natural movement of the wool. Shedding is totally natural effect and normally occurs with the wool items until it decreases and ceases over time when the wool settles down. The logo tag is made of faux suede. Now you can choose your favorite color from all the color options you can find below!

INNER CUSHION DETAILS
– You have two options to choose for the insert filling;
1. POLYESTER
The insert is filled with polyester fibers.

2. NATURAL KAPOK FIBER
– The insert is sewn by us and filled with kapok fiber which makes this cushion to be a 100% natural cushion.
– The fabric material that we use in the insert is COTTON.
– If you choose the kapok fiber filling please allow us +2-3 extra days to prepare it.

What is kapok fiber?
Kapok is a sustainable plant fiber that is used in textiles. Kapok is obtained from hairy inner-part of the fruits of a tropical tree called Ceiba or cotton tree. Only the fruit is collected – Harvesting kapok does not cause any harm to the Ceiba trees. It is used as a stuffing in many different products such as natural pillows, cushions, mattresses, upholstery, meditation tools like zafus, outdoor jackets, soft toys etc.

Kapok fiber is a safe alternative stuffing to replace the chemical plastic fibers. Kapok is antibacterial, antimicrobial, dust mite repellent and moisture resistant. Kapok is naturally organic, hypoallergenic, non-toxic and chemical-free. It is fully biodegradable, eco-friendly and vegan product.

Kapok might be an effective and viable option for persons with sensitivities or allergies as it has none add-on substances or chemicals. Kapok can also be a safer, healthier and chemical-free stuffing option for baby products such as blankets, pillows, mattresses and toys.

CARE INSTRUCCIONS
Our recommendations to make your merino wool cushion long lasting and to keep it in good shape:
· Please keep this cushion away from your pets.
· Merino wool is a gentle, natural product. Dry clean only. Sheep wool doesn’t need to be washed. For cleaning any sheep, wool regular ventilation is enough. In any case of any kind of accident or a dirty spot, hand wash very carefully with a wool detergent and flat dry.
